New Guiseley manager Steve Kittrick will take input from coach Mark Ellis before selecting the squad for Saturday's trip to Ashton United.

Kittrick switched to Guiseley from rivals Ossett Town following Tuesday night's defeat at home to Bradford Park Avenue in the West Riding County Cup.

He brought his number two Wayne Benn with him but is likely to rely heavily on Mega' - who has been in caretaker charge since Terry Dolan left - for guidance on how the players have been performing of late.

"The board only met Steve Kittrick on Tuesday and he came across very well. We offered him the job and he accepted," said Guiseley chairman Phil Rogerson.

"Steve asked to bring Wayne Benn as his assistant and Mark is happy to stay with us and work alongside the new pair. We feel that will help with the continuity because Mark is respected by the players and he gets the best out of them.

"Regarding the squad for Saturday, we have now lost James Kay. Mark was hoping the player's loan from Sheffield Wednesday would be extended but it was curtailed when an injury to one of the first-team squad at Wednesday meant James was recalled.

"We have Dominic Krief sitting out a suspension but apart from that there are no injuries."
