Undercliffe B continued their lead over stablemates Undercliffe A in Division One of the Bradford Chess League, despite both teams winning 4-1.

Undercliffe B maintain a one- point lead at the top, but Polish kept the heat on the top two by winning 4-2 and are equal on points with Undercliffe A.

In Division Two, Undercliffe Knights opened a two-point advantage with a resounding 5- victory over Unison.

The fight is on for second place, however, with three teams on eight points.

Clayton, in second place, lost to Undercliffe C 3-2. Bradford Internationals beat Dark Horses 4-1, while fortress Victoria was breached by Ilkley B, who took the spoils from Keighley 3-2.

Shipley Raiders - the only unbeaten team in the section - are the team to beat in Division Three.

They lead the table by three points after defeating Bradford Destroyers 4-1.

Second-placed South Bradford B exorcised Bingley Bishops, who are now third, 4-1.

The rest of the division is mostly made up of Bradford Chess Academy school teams and Renaissance, in a respectable fifth place, are showing good potential, especially with their 5-1 win over MAPA.
