Alan Thompson and Radostin Kishishev could return to the Leeds starting line-up against Port Vale tomorrow.
The midfielders are fit again after injury, but manager Dennis Wise is likely to leave one of them on the bench, preferring Jonathan Douglas in a central role.
Casper Ankergren is also due to return after injury but Mark de Vries (sickness) and Leon Constantine (foot injury) are doubtful.
Having slipped up against bottom club Cheltenham last week, Wise is determined his side won't repeat the mistakes against Vale, who have taken over the bottom spot.
With no game last Saturday, Wise gave his players some time off and said: "They have come back refreshed and looking sharp."
Leeds' match at Crewe, due to be played on January 12, has been moved to the Monday and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Leeds have also confirmed that they will definitely have a home game on January 5.
If opponents Northampton Town win their FA Cup replay against Walsall, Leeds will bring forward their match against Cheltenham Town, which is in the calendar on Tuesday, March 11.
