RIZWAN Ali (153) was in scintillating form in the highest scoring game in Division A of the Dales Council League between One Stop and Pudsey St Lawrence.
Stop set a 245-7 target with Ali hitting 13 fours and 12 sixes in only 77 balls. The valiant St Lawrence reply fell 19 runs short (226-7).
Leeds Caribbean guaranteed their place at the top of the table with a convincing win over Drighlington. Caribbean were put in to bat and scored 169 (Mohammad Hamid 82), before skittling Drig out for only 30 (Shan Khan 5-6).
After winning the toss and deciding to bat at Daleside Road, Bradford Moor looked in trouble at the end of their innings.
Moor were bowled out for 69 (Asif Mahmood 31no, Waqas Abbas 5-24). However, it would be their spinners who would save the day. Riffat Shabir (6-18) and Parth Naik (4-7) got to work on the Thornbury order, leaving the hosts all out for 35.
An Irfan Jamadar (102) ton allowed Division B table toppers Interlink to make 248-6 (Yunus Bismillah 42 and Ayub Bismillah 48) in their victory over Adel.
The home side could only hit 78 (Mohammad Pandor 5-32) in reply.
In a low scoring game at Mayfield, Terrace Muff Field were bowled out for 81 (Karl Burkinshaw 37, Mohammed Faisal 4-13, Antony Moss 4-30). The hosts got over the line with a 82-7 (Francis W Sugden 48no) score to stay second.
Shipley Providence were in first at Thornbury B, but they could only hit a lowly 95 (Toseef Khan 5-28). Thornbury eased to 96-6.
Tong Park Esholt beat Pudsey Congs by 32 runs. The former batted first at Low Springs and scored 142-8 (George Hammond 54no). Congs were unable to match it, falling at 110 (Martin Cuthbertson 5-11).
Cookridge B were bowled out for 92 (Sumit Jain 33, Joshua Capper 3-6, Tawseef Ahmed 3-10) by Baildon, who replied with 93-6 (Tom Dixon 33, Rameez Khan 3-22) to take the win.
There were three matches in the C Division COVID CUP.
St Chads Broomfield made 122 (Kyle Parkin 31, Tom Pratt 3-30) against Rodley who hit back with 123-8 (Dave Sewards 33, Pradeep Singh Narwal 4-22).
Mayfield B's 204 (John Farr 55) was too much for Drighlington B (175ao).
Cookridge C set a steady 116-5 which was more than enough to topple St Chads Broomfield B (38 ao).
