JOHN Kear is tipping Bulls gem Levy Nzoungou to continue to sparkle after signing a new one-year deal.
The former Hull FC prop took a while to get up to pace again after a short spell in France before joining over the winter.
But Nzoungou was showing impressive signs before the Championship was halted in March – and Kear is confident he will carry on where he left off.
The Bulls coach said: “I am really pleased he has signed because we thought we had unearthed a bit of a gem when he first came to the club and I think he was proving to be so in the games he played.
“He was visibly getting better game-by-game and I thought he was outstanding against Sheffield. With that in mind, we want to help him improve further and contribute greatly to our team.
“We were getting used to each other as a group and as the team’s performances and results improved so did Levy’s.
“We are just hoping that when we do return, that he is back to that level he was at and I think his form pre-lockdown will give him confidence coming back.”
