BURNLEY have cut short Nahki Wells' season-long loan at QPR, although the Championship side are keen to sign the former City striker on a permanent basis before the transfer window closes on Friday.
Wells has been bang in-form this season, netting 15 in his 29 appearances, six of them coming in 2020.
The 29 year-old started the calendar year bagging a hat trick against Cardiff before netting three more in all competitions, including a winner against title contenders Leeds United.
The Bermuda international spent the whole of last season on loan at Rangers after struggling in the Premier League with Burnley since signing from Huddersfield Town for £5million in August 2017.
Town had bought Wells from City on an undisclosed fee back in 2014 on the back of the forward starring in the historic 2013 campaign.
