CHRIS Taylor is a City player until the end of the season after signing a new deal.

Taylor's short-term contract, which he signed in November, was due to run out but he has penned another to keep him at the club.

The midfielder said: "We have been in great form recently and I cannot wait to, hopefully, keep this unbeaten run going."

Gary Bowyer has previously worked with Taylor at Blackburn and Blackpool and was pleased to tie him down for the whole campaign.

The City boss said: "Chris boasts a great deal of experience and has the ability to play in a variety of different positions. "He will certainly help us for the rest of the season and is a great person to have around the dressing room."
