FIELD made an early exit from the West Yorkshire League Cup, as they lost on penalties at Glasshoughton Rock.

They, along with Saturday’s opponents, had received a bye into the Second Round, and both teams cancelled each other out in their first game of this year's competition.

The match itself finished 1-1, but it was hosts Glasshoughton who squeaked through, winning the shootout 5-4.

Elsewhere, in Round Three of the Bradford & District FA Sunday Senior Cup, tireless work from club secretary Shehbaz Khan saw Bradford Moor YSA’s game with Shipley Town go ahead, despite the awful conditions.

His efforts proved worthwhile, as his side, with two goals from Mohammed Zakariyah Khan, and one each from Hassan Khan and Mohammed Ismaeel, beat their visitors 4-2, who had Richard Woollin and Charles Ellis on target.

That cup game allowed East Bierley Village to move just one point behind Bradford Moor in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Championship, as they thrashed FC Dog & Gun 5-1.

East Bierley still only sit fourth though, with leaders Moor, AFC Wibsey and Park Pub separated by goal difference only.

Elsewhere, a brilliant Connor Cooper hat-trick ensured FC Queensbury took all three points with a 3-2 win at Keighley Town.

In Division Three, Royal Clayton went back to the summit after a thrilling 4-4 home draw with Northern Reserves. The visitors netted all four of their goals before the break, with Steven Warburton at the double.

Lincoln Barbers are just three points off top spot now, after they dismantled St Bede’s AFC 7-2.
