ORGANISERS of the 2020 Bradford Sports Awards are appealing for more nominations ahead of this weekend's closing deadline.
The awards have received a substantial number of entries to date but Active Bradford, who run the event, hope to see a late surge to ensure no sporting achievement goes unnoticed.
The window for nominations shuts on Sunday at 11:59pm.
There are 18 awards up for grabs featuring athletes, coaches and volunteers that sit within four main categories: Senior Achievers, Young Achievers, Active Achievers and Outstanding Contribution.
Last year’s awards saw finalists and winners such as boxer Darren Tetley, para triathlete Stuart Meikle, Bradford City Disability FC Women and many individuals, schools, clubs and workplaces within the district.
The period of qualification is from January 1 to December 15 of this year. To be eligible, nominees must have been born, resided, trained or represented an organisation within Bradford Council boundaries.
The awards will be held at Valley Parade on Thursday, March 12 next year.
