BRADFORD side Athletico edged a nervy Terry Marfitt Trophy clash at Yorkshire Amateur League Premier Division opponents Collegians 2-1.
Supreme Division side Athletico dominated the first half and notched two goals through Mazen Chalifa and Abid Khan.
But Joe Wimpenny replied for the physical Collegians and despite them edging the second half, they made no further inroads into the Athletico defence.
Elsewhere, Littletown scored early on to calm the nerves against a motivated Drighlington, before adding two more goals late in the game to emerge as 3-0 winners, despite being reduced to 10 fit players.
Calverley United edged out Leeds Medics & Dentists 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Medics had the better of the first half and took the lead after 20 minutes with a speculative 20-yard strike.
Calverley improved in the second half and drew level through Simon McQuiston.
Both teams had a player hit the post in the shootout before Calverley keeper Will Grace pulled off a great save, leaving Tom Westerman to put away the winner.
Horsforth St Margarets led after 30 seconds at Ealandians, but the plucky hosts quickly drew level, and held on bravely at 2-2 until the 65th minute.
But after wasting chances, Horsforth eventually pulled away to win 5-2. Elsewhere, Leeds City thumped Stanningley Old Boys 4-0.
Finally, in the Hancock Cup Preliminary Round, a poor performance saw Idle slump to a disappointing 4-3 defeat at Woodkirk Valley in an all-Championship clash.
Tom Simonett, Aaron Irving and Luke Chandler all netted for the visitors.
