TOMORROW will see the start of the Bradford & District FA Senior Challenge Cup, in which teams from the area who play on Saturdays take part.
The competition, which began at the end of the 19th Century, has been competed for in all but four seasons, from 1916 to 1919.
Last season's winners, Field FC, and runners up, Calverley United, are exempt from the early stages of this year's tournament.
Salts, who have four teams playing on a Saturday, two in the West Yorkshire League and two in the Craven & District League, are all involved in the opening games.
Salts' first team will visit St Bedes Reserves, with their reserves taking on St Bedes first team.
Meanwhile, the two sides from the Craven League, Salts 3rds and Salts 4ths, will play Field FC reserves and Thackley U19s respectively.
Wibsey who lifted the cup two seasons ago, start their campaign with a trip to Calverley Reserves, while the other two games will see Tyersal host Grangefield and Fairbank take on Toller FC.
All games are scheduled to kick off at 2:30pm. The remaining game between Campion Reserves and Athletico will be played next Tuesday evening, with a 7:30pm start time.
