THERE were goals galore in the Bradford Sunday Alliance’s cup competitions as two sides fired 10 goals apiece.
Station Hotel thrashed Mill Lane 10-1, while Bolton Woods beat Beldon Oddies by the same scoreline, both in the Senior Cup second round.
Station’s strikes came courtesy of four for Connor Bower, a Dominic Staunton hat-trick and a goal apiece for Daniel Cunningham, Danial Softley and substitute James Murtagh.
The goals were also spread around the team for Bolton Woods in their rout. Andrew McHugh, Jack Warburton and David Wright all fired braces, while their side’s other strikes came from Matthew Addy, Scott Mortimer, Harrison Stirk and Matthew Schofield. Ian Lee scored the Oddies’ consolation.
Marcus Edwards’ hat-trick steered Oakenshaw to a 6-2 win at AFC Wibsey.
Crossflatts Village went through in the Senior Cup after a 4-0 home win over East Bierley Village. Their goals came from Ryan Canning, Mick Garnett, Chris Mawson and Lewis Morgan.
Northern hit a magnificent seven as they knocked Thornton United out. Northern were 5-2 up at half-time thanks to Michael Avery, braces for Tyler Marsh and Connor Scott, and two goals in the last eight minutes of the tie for Mark Coleman and Gareth Stoyles. David Wilson (2) and Hechem Naat scored United’s goals.
Elsewhere in the Senior Cup, there were 6-0 wins for both West Bowling and Westwood Park (Sunday)over Bramley United and Throstle Nest United respectively.
Tyersal Sunday defeated Peacock Bar 5-2. Heaton Athletic beat White Hart 6-4, and FC Dog & Gun knocked out Fairweather Green WMC following a 4-2 triumph,
A Mohammed Zakariyah hat-trick guided Bradford Moor YSA to a 4-2 victory over Keighley Town.
Meanwhile, in the highlight of the Intermediate Cup first round, Kyle Jhatto fired five as Clayton Athletic beat Esholt 10-4. His side’s other goals came from George Beck, Oli Priestley, Malikai Hodgson, Aaron Brown and Connor Docherty.
