GOALS from Andy Howland and Andrew Philip gave Wrose Bull a winning start to the new season in Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division.
Bull were too good for Sandy Lane Sunday as they grabbed a 2-1 opening day victory. Sandy Lane's strike came courtesy of Stuart Cotterill.
It was goals galore between West Bowling and Bolton Woods as they played out an exciting 4-4 draw.
West Bowling covered from a 3-1 half-time deficit, with their strikes coming from Paul Hague (2), Liam Charlie and John May. Bolton's Andrew McHugh fired a brace, while Matthew Schofield and David Wright were also on the scoresheet.
Crossflatts Village edged Westwood Park in a seven-goal thriller.
Marcus Davey (2), Mick Garnett and Ollie Metcalfe scored for Crossflatts, while Danny Farrar (2) and a substitute Josh Hartley scored for Westwood.
Northern were the biggest winners of the day, defeating Oakenshaw 5-2.
Dan O'Donnell and Lee Smith both fired doubles with Connor Scott grabbing his side's other strike.
A Paul Harrison hat-trick gave Station Hotel a 3-0 home win over Tyersal Sunday.
Meanwhile, in the Championship, the biggest winners were Prospect, who beat AFC Titans 9-1 and Pub Park FC who defeated Fairweather Green WMC 7-0.
