TYLER French will cut short his summer break to get himself up to speed for pursuing his City dream.
The former non-league defender insists there is no time to waste as he prepares to step up four levels with Gary Bowyer’s side.
The 20-year-old, signed for £10,000 from AFC Sudbury in the Isthmian League, wants to ensure he hits the ground running when training kicks off again in three weeks.

“I won’t have much time off because I want to get myself in the best shape possible for pre-season.
“I’m aiming to do my best, not just go there and be part of the squad – I want to go in and show I’m good enough to play.
“I’ve got an off-season (training) programme to help me but I’m quite naturally fit, so hopefully I’ll be all right.”
French admits he is still pinching himself at getting the move after a series of trials at other clubs.
He will gladly give up a part-time job of building conservatory bases with one of his dad’s mates to help lay the foundations for City’s restoration in League Two.
“The job was a bit of a slog,” he added. “It was just working with construction people round the area and nothing exciting.
“It’s just crazy what’s happened, to be honest. It’s not going to really sink in until I move up and start pre-season.
“It’s a big thing for this area because it doesn’t happen very often. Everyone is so happy for me.
“I’m not aware of anyone going from the club into the pro game before. I was in the academy when it opened at Sudbury and have come through that, so this is massive.
“It’s perfect for me coming into Bradford with this rebuild. I’ll be able to show what I can do and hopefully crack on from there.
“I wouldn’t say I’m a bit nervous because I’m excited.
“It’s a big thing moving away from family and living on your own. Hopefully my girlfriend will come up eventually but she’s got to find a job first.
“But I can’t wait for it. This is what I’ve dreamed of.”
