KEEPER Sam Hornby has become City’s third signing of the summer.
The former Port Vale stopper has joined on a two-year contract.
Hornby, who previously played for Burton, has found opportunities tough to come by at Vale Park and featured in only three Checkatrade Trophy games last season.
The 6ft 3in keeper said: “This is probably the best move I could have asked for. I am at the stage of my career where I wanted a move to a big club to really kick on.”
Hornby follows Ben Richards-Everton and Tyler French to the club as Gary Bowyer looks to put his stamp on the squad.
The City boss said: “Sam is a great size and will add some real height between the sticks.
“At 24 years old, he is at a good age to really progress his career.”
