Dudley Hill welcomed National Conference League Division Two leaders Ince Rose Bridge with second spot in their sights but couldn’t prevent the visitors running out 30-14 victors.
The early minutes of the game saw both sides trading penalties until Bridge opened the scoring.
Stand-off Danny Cassidy put up a lovely cross field kick and, when the dust settled, centre Jordan Blakelly touched down. Brad Smith added the extras to give the visitors a 6-0 lead.
Smith then extended the lead five minutes later thanks to some indiscipline by Hill at the play-the-ball.
Hill quickly hit back though when stand-off Elliott Cousins found centre Daniel Lee out wide on the left and he crashed over.
Kyle Bateman slotted over the conversion to narrow the gap at 8-6.
The home side then took the lead after a superb break by scrum half Kyle Carter saw Neil Wall find a gap in the Bridge defence to cross. The conversion was missed but Hill were out in front at 10-8.
As the half edged towards the final quarter, Hill pressed the self-destruct button when first Lewis Reed was sin binned for an elbow before being followed by winger Jamie Brentley, who had too much to say to the referee for his liking.
In between times Ince Rose retook the lead after winger Call Hughes collected a cross-field kick to score under the posts. Smith once again added the extras and Hill were behind 14-10 at the break.
In the second half the visitors stamped their authority on the match and showed why they are the current league leaders with further tries to Cassidy and Hughes.
Smith was also on target a further four times with the boot. Hill could only respond with a try from Carter and things ended badly when Reed was sent from the field again, this time permanently.
