A STUNNING comeback saw Fairbank snatch the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League Division 13D title from opponents Thornton United's grasp.
Fairbank needed three points to secure their second title in as many years but their visitors took the lead at Bingley Road.
Anas Hamid levelled the score just before half-time only for Thornton to put one hand on the trophy by taking a 3-1 lead with ten minutes of the second half remaining.
Fairbank keeper Umar Alam pulled off a double save to keep the hosts' faint hopes alive, and this kick-started a revival.
Sustained Fairbank pressure saw Waleed Imran's wonderful cross deflected in and within minutes Mohammed Abdullah pulled off a spectacular left-foot volley to haul them back level.
Fairbank lay siege to the Thornton goal in search for the goal that would seal the title. With 90 seconds remaining, a corner from Zain Ahmed was deflected into the path of Mohammed Seeth, who calmly slotted home to spark scenes of euphoria and claim the silverware.
Fairbank thank all the fans who took time out to support the lads and created an electric atmosphere. The club also paid tribute to coaches Mohammed Yasser and Hasnen Hussain for their dedication over the season.
