BRIGHOUSE Town U21s drew 1-1 at Tadcaster Albion (Prem Black) in the West Riding County FA Development League.
Brighouse started at a high tempo and pressed Tadcaster high up the pitch. Town continued to dominate but could not convert any of their chances due to poor finishing and good defending.
Brighouse should have easily have been three or four goals in front before finally opening their account on the 30-minute mark. A great through ball from Lee Taylor found Regan Metcalf who rifled his shot home.
Town seemed to take their foot off the peddle and Tadcaster gradually got back into the game. With virtually the last kick of the first half, they equalised.
The second period was a much more even affair with both sides missing chances to take the lead.
Brighouse assistant manager Barry Thomas said: “After the first 30 minutes, when we truly took control of the match, we should have won the game easily. For the remainder, the draw seemed a fair result."
