The second half of the Bradford Table Tennis League season got underway with Division Four promotion rivals Baildon D and Hermits I meeting for the second time.
Leaders Baildon were looking to avenge their only defeat of the season so far, as Hermits were 7-3 winners in October.
The return fixture was finely balanced at halfway with Baildon leading 3-2. Shirley Toulmin was in fine form for Baildon with 3-0 wins over George and Mick Raine while Stewart Varley was on the mark twice for Hermits, beating Jerry Harkawy and John Jennison.
Baildon settled the issue with three wins on the trot as Harkawy beat George and Mick Raine, and Toulmin completed her treble against Varley to put Baildon 6-2 up.
Hermits won the last two but the 6-4 success put Baildon seven points clear of their opponents, who slip into third place.
Unity C are second and still unbeaten following their win at fourth-placed Hermits J.
Mark Tattersfield shone for Unity with three wins in straight games. Peter Jackson won two as Unity led 5-4.
Paul Rook triumphed in two for Hermits and Stuart Stead and John Margerison added one each but Unity clinched the points as Tattersfield and Jackson won the doubles.
In Division Three, Rastrick took advantage of leaders Hermits F having a free week to move into top spot but they had to settle for a draw against Hermits G.
Rastrick were 3-0 down and their number one Mick Whitham lost his unbeaten record against Terry Halliday.
Hermits led 5-3 as Halliday and Les Packer won two each with Martin Jackson winning one.
Whitham and Brian Banks fought hard and won two each and the doubles as Rastrick drew for the fourth time in six home matches.

Division 4: Baildon D 6 Hermits I 4, Hermits J 4 Unity C 6, Hermits K 8 Baildon E 2.
