THE bottom two teams in Division Four of the Bradford League met last week, with Hermits K finally breaking their duck and securing their first victory.
Their opponents, Thornbury B, had managed one win so far against Hermits J and they had the player of the match here in Valerie Wood, who was unbeaten.
However, the Hermits trio of Anthony Burrow, Phillip Craven and John Rawnsley all won two each as Hermits romped to a 7-3 victory.
In Division Three, leaders Hermits F extended their lead at the top of the table following their derby clash with Hermits H.
Peter Eccles and Tom Sampson were both unbeaten for the leaders but in contrasting fashion.
The former, who has lost only twice this season, dropped just one game in taking his three singles whereas Sampson, after beating Norman Swift 3-0, had to come from 2-0 down to beat both Burhaan Saghir and Michael Butler.
With close contests like those two, Hermits F were thankful for a 7-3 scoreline.
Rastrick are in second place and they had to come from behind to salvage a draw against Baildon B.
Peter Warner and Steve Crossland both won twice for Baildon while John Atkinson won once as they led 5-3.
However, Brian Banks and Ronnie Maystone took two each and the crucial doubles as honours finished even in a fantastic battle.
