Silsden suffered more disappointment tonight with a 3-2 Hallmark Security League Premier Division defeat at lowly Burscough.
Danny Forrest's side were hoping to bounce back from a 7-0 humiliation at home to Bootle last Saturday.
But they came out second best in a see-saw encounter.
Chad Whyte put the hosts in front after just 18 seconds but Silsden replied before half-time with a screamer from Niall Sultan.
However, Burscough regained the lead in the second half through Luke Gibson following a corner.
Silsden hit back with another equaliser through Reece Lyndon, who started the move with an interception inside his own half before exchanging passes with Sultan.
But the Cobbydalers were beaten by a second goal from Gibson.
Aidan Kirby missed a late chance for Silsden, who will hope for a change of fortune in the FA Vase on Saturday when they visit Northwich Victoria in the third round.
Meanwhile, Silsden's neighbours Barnoldswick Town suffered frustration tonight as their home league game with Northwich Victoria was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
It means Barlick complete November having won all their games during the month, leaving them fourth in the Premier Division table.
