DIVISION Two in the Bradford Table Tennis League looks as if it will be very competitive this season, with four or five teams in contention.
Hermits B and C have already put a marker down with two wins each. The B team followed their opening win over Pudsey A with victory at Fastbats.
Fazal Hussain made it six wins out of six with a treble, while Geoff Dunne and Greg Hill tagged on two each. Keith Smith took the solitary two for Fastbats.
Hermits C backed up their excellent win over Embassy Yeadon C with a solid team effort at Baildon A. Keith Powell, Louis Bigallet and Tony McGowan all won twice in their 7-3 success, with Ian Warner recording a treble for Baildon.
In Division One, there were huge 10-0 wins for Dewsbury B and Embassy Yeadon A over Unity B and Heckmondwike respectively, while Hermits B and Dewsbury A both scored eight away from home against Unity A and Unity B.
There was one close contest, a thrilling 5-5 tie between Highdale A and Dewsbury B.
In Division Three, Hermits F recorded consecutive wins, following up their away win at Thornbury A with a home success against Baildon B.
Peter Eccles logged another treble for Hermits, while Tom Sampson beat John Atkinson and Steve Crossland. Glen Ellis also beat Crossland as the hosts won 7-3.
Thornbury B won 6-4 away at Hermits J in Division Four thanks to Valerie Wood and Abdul Halim, who were both unbeaten. John Rawnsley, Stuart Stead and Paul Rook all won one each for Hermits.
