WELSH international, Dalton Grant has extended his stay with Bradford Bulls until the end of the 2019 season.
Originally joining John Kear’s outfit last December, the powerhouse back has been a regular in the first team, claiming 16 tries in 24 appearances in Betfred League One.
After bagging a brace last time out against West Wales Raiders, the ‘pinball back’ will be hoping to continue his scoring form as the club prepare for the final games of the season and push for promotion to the Betfred Championship.
Head coach Kear is thrilled to have the back extend his stay in the red, amber and black, saying: “That’s testament to that we are trying to build a squad not just for the immediacy, which is trying to get into the Championship, be that through the hope of York slipping up or the expectation that we have to go through the play-off route.
“Then once we have got out of League One, we would have retained all of the players of a high standard and we have recruited more quality, so we can handle the next challenge, which is hopefully the Championship.
“We took a chance on him - he took a vast pay cut to take a chance on us and it has paid off for both parties - so yes I am really pleased, and I would like to congratulate Dalton on signing his extension.
“I hope he has a great international series in the post-season and comes back next year full of enthusiasm and desire to achieve what we want at Bradford.”
