BULLS have signed experienced Super League centre Jake Webster from Castleford Tigers on a two-year deal.
The former NRL star, aged 34, will join John Kear's squad next season and will provide strike power that is sure to excite the Odsal faithful.
The New Zealand international centre joins the red, amber and black of Bradford having excelled at the highest level with Melbourne Storm and the Gold Coast Titans in Australia, scoring 32 tries in 128 appearances before joining Hull KR and then Castleford Tigers, representing those clubs in over 250 appearances combined.
Bulls chairman Andrew Chalmers said: “We’re glad to bring a player the quality of Jake on board. He’s going to play a huge role in our squad next year, bringing a lot of experience to the back line.”
Head coach John Kear added: “I’m really pleased to secure this deal. I have always admired Jake. He is a player that is a huge threat to any defensive line and sets a good example as a professional and leader.
“We know what is required and expected of players in the Bradford Bulls shirt and, with the support of our fans, we are able to build and add to a squad that I know will stand us in good stead for the campaigns ahead.”
