Bradford City Women are pursuing a third successive win as they visit relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest this weekend.
The hosts’ torrid run of 10 games without victory in the FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division means they sit just six points above the drop with five games remaining.
Guiseley Vixens’ two wins from their last three games has seen them close that gap quickly, creating pressure that means Bradford forward Hannah Campbell is expecting a tough test tomorrow.
“With relegation hanging over Forest, they will be giving absolutely everything tomorrow,” she said.
“However, I feel we still have a lot to prove as a team as some of our results over the past few weeks haven’t gone the way we would have liked.
“Every player will be giving 110 per cent in the games we have left this season to make sure we get as many points as possible, and hopefully end the season on a high.”
Bradford couldn’t go into the game in higher spirits, having defeated Stoke City last Thursday night before beating West Bromwich Albion just three days later.
Campbell played a particularly big role in the latter result, scoring a hat-trick in the 4-2 win, as everything clicked yet again for the Bantams.
If results go their way tomorrow, City could jump into sixth place in the table, with Campbell confident going into the game.
“There's always a lot to work on during training but I don't think there is anything we need to improve,” she said.
“We just need to take all the positives of last week’s performances into tomorrow's game, and if we do that there's no reason at all why we can't get another three points.”
