SALTS have moved closer to lifting the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division trophy after securing a narrow victory at home to Lepton Highlanders.
Jonny Cunnington got the only goal of the match early in the second half.
Meanwhile, Route One Rovers improved their goal difference with a 7-1 victory at Britannia Sports, with Hassan Ali (4), Jonathon Mwembie (2) and Shamraz Hussain scoring to keep them seven points adrift of Salts.
Golcar United, the only side that can realistically overtake Salts should they slip up, defeated Britannia Sports 4-1 in midweek, but had their home game against Wibsey on Saturday postponed.
Steeton remain fourth after goals from Andy Briggs. Ben Richardson and Ben Clarkson gave them a 3-0 success at Wakefield City.
The Summerhill Lane club's next three games could help decide the destination of the title as they host Salts on Wednesday and Golcar United on Saturday before the return game at Salts on Wednesday week.
The Lower Hopton and Littletown game, abandoned last August when the Littletown keeper broke a leg, was finally played, with Littletown running out 3-2 winners.
Pat Sykes (2) and George Procter scored for Littletown, while Rob Evans netted both Hopton goals.
Ovenden West Riding, already confirmed as winners of the Yorkshire Observer trophy for being Division One champions, won their penultimate game of the season at Hunsworth.
The 3-1 victory extended Ovenden's unbeaten run of league games to 17, with Terry Ryan (2) and Damian Randall on target for the winners, with Alex Wilson netting for Hunsworth.
Salts Reserves, whose marksmen were Oliver Hume, Dominic Lazenby and Andy Sadowskyj, beat Tingley Athletic 3-2 and need just one victory from their final two games to take the runners-up spot.
