DEFENDING champions Embassy Police A moved into top spot in Division One following a crucial encounter with title rivals Dewsbury Tog A.
Along with Tog B, it is a three-horse race for the crown, and the defending champions put a marker down as the season reaches its climax.
Tog A led 3-2 at halfway, with Darren Page, Mark Land and Freddie Osenton-Brown winning one each, with Tim Dyson and Shahriar Masoudi on the mark for Police A.
The second half of the match was one-way traffic, however, as Police A took five in a row, with Masoudi unbeaten.
Dyson won two and John Chew added a single as the 7-3 success put them four points clear at the top.
In Division Three, Hermits E moved a step nearer the championship after beating stablemates Hermits F.
Stuart Beaumont and Mohammed Murtaza were both in top gear.
Beaumont did not drop a game in registering a treble, while Murtaza dropped just two games in his three wins.
Azimuth Afzal added one as the E team finished 7-3 winners.
