JOHN Kear awarded his Bulls side "nine out of ten" after they hammered neighbours Keighley.
Bradford ran in nine tries to crush their hosts 54-6 in a one-sided derby at Cougar Park.
The Bulls were never in trouble in the first league encounter between the clubs since 1976.
"Last week's postponement meant the lads had itchy feet and you sensed that in the changing room beforehand," said Kear.
"I didn't feel the need to say anything else once I saw the buzz in there and they obviously took that on the field of play.
"I thought they won this game in the first 25 to 30 minutes. Although Keighley repelled us, it took a lot of energy out of them.
"As the game unfolded then, the gaps started opening up.
"We want to improve week on week. I think this is a big improvement on the York performance.
"Defensively we were very solid and then obviously with ball in hand, we're getting more used to our combinations and playing together. It's been a nine out of ten day."
George Flanagan scored twice on his debut and there were two more tries for Elliot Minchella, taking his tally for the season to eight already.
Former Cougars player Ross Peltier answered his Keighley critics by getting on the scoresheet within five minutes of coming off the bench.
There were further tries from Dalton Grant, Sam Hallas, Ethan Ryan and Joe Keyes, who also kicked nine goals.
Ryan said: "We blew them away in the first half. In the second, we were a bit scrappy and there were a few errors, but luckily we were well ahead by then.
"We knew they'd start massively and we had to match them. Second half they couldn't catch us."
Kear added: "They've all contributed. The enjoyment and elation you get from a performance like that is simply because everybody has done the job.
"I thought we were very disciplined. We try to ensure we listen to what the referee is saying when he's out there and to try and help him rather than hinder him.
"I want us to be a well-disciplined side because I genuinely feel we'll have a great chance of success if we get 50 per cent of the ball against most opposition."
Peltier will be in for treatment today after suffering a dead leg but Kear otherwise has a clean bill of health as Bradford switch attention to next week's Challenge Cup trip to the South Leeds Stadium.
"It's going to make it difficult once again to select a side next week when we go to Hunslet in the Challenge Cup," said the Bulls coach.
"The lads who played in the reserves the other night didn't do a bad job, so I'm going to have to sit down and have a really good think about it. We want to keep the pot simmering.
"We're two games into a 26-game season. Obviously next week isn't in the league but everyone knows what the Challenge Cup means to me, so we'll go there all guns blazing."
