DEWSBURY Tog B would have been considered outsiders for honours in Division One of the Bradford League at the start of the season.
Yet they are the surprise packages so far and are showing great consistency in both league and cup.
Embassy Police A and Dewsbury Tog A were pre-season favourites but Tog B are ahead of them both and have also knocked out holders Police A from the Burton Cup, where they are now in the last four.
In the league, Tog B made it ten wins from 12 matches with a solid team effort at Pudsey A.
Andrew Gradwell had a great night for the hosts, winning all three singles, but the Tog trio of Steve Kosmowsky, Phil Cawser and Ivan Lewis won twice each as they triumphed 7-3 to maintain their double challenge.
In Division Two, Hermits B took the bragging rights in their derby with Hermits C.
The B team made a flying start, taking the first four matches, and never looked back as Greg Hill and Andrew Braithwaite both won three and Shamir Bose one as the B team ran out 7-3 winners.
Division Four leaders Thornbury A were also in a hurry against second-placed Hermits H.
Thornbury reeled off the first six matches to wrap up victory, while Kareem Afzal added another three singles to maintain his position at the top of the averages.
Paul Wharton and Mohammad Humzah won two each as Thornbury triumphed 7-3, with Geoff Parkes and Stewart Varley taking one each for Hermits.
