Guiseley still have almost a fortnight to prepare for their new season in the UniBond Premier Division so have two more friendly fixtures after Saturday's excursion to the north-east.

They take on Tow Law Town, the club that launched the careers of such luminaries as Chris Waddle and Peter Beardsley, then host Leeds United on Monday before travelling to Harrogate Railway Athletic a week on Saturday.

"We have only had two games so far - two others have been called off because of the weather - so we need the games that are coming up," said Guiseley boss Terry Dolan.

"I have put players in for 45 minutes only so that everyone has had a run-out. With three games in a few days we are looking to step that up a bit now.

"We have been looking at six or seven new players and have given the rest of the squad match practice.

"It will be breaking new ground for me this weekend. I know of the history of Tow Law but I have never been there.

"I'm looking forward to it and the players will get a very good work-out from it."
