LEEDS United, who are at Michael Flynn's Newport County on Sunday in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup (noon) in what is likely to be a sell-out tie, have been busy in the transfer market.
A fee has been agreed with Gamba Osaka for midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi.
The 21-year-old, who has ten caps for Japan, will undergo a medical next week at Elland Road.
However, as the J1 League ended early last month, it is likely that United will loan Ideguchi out, providing that he passes his medical, to Spanish team Cultural Leonesa until the end of the season.
United have also signed 19-year-old Aapo Halme from Finnish side HJK Helsinki on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 6ft 4in defender featured regularly for HJK as they won their domestic league in 2017 and has also represented Finland at under-19 level.
Halme will join up with Carlos Corberan's under-23 side with the view to stepping up to the first team in the coming months.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Tyler Denton has returned to Elland Road from his loan spell at Port Vale for family reasons.
