LOIS Forsell is looking forward to a fresh start but will always cherish her time with the Bulls.
The Leeds-born hooker is one of four players who have left Bradford to join the newly-formed Rhinos ladies team.
Forsell played a huge part for the Bulls in their all-conquering 2017 season and was part of the England squad in last month's Rugby League World Cup.
She had been with Bradford for two years but is eagerly anticipating her new start at Leeds, with Danika Priim, Charlotte Booth and Aimee Staveley also making the switch.
Forsell said: "We've had an amazing year and to win the league, Challenge Cup and Grand Final has been amazing. But to be at a club with great fans and playing with my mates was really the best part of the season.
"Rugby for women is a growing sport but with a lot of stigma and stereotype attached to it.
"So having clubs like Bradford, Leeds and Wigan putting their names to it and offering support, it will increase the resources and benefits girls are going to see, which will be great for them on an international level.
"The game has been very fortunate to have clubs like Bradford Bulls supporting it since day one and having an involvement early on.
"I'll look forward to going back to Bradford and seeing the people there and it'll be good to play against them.
"It's something to look forward to and we're not going to take it lightly because the Bulls will have a good squad and they're reigning champions."
Leeds and Wigan will now have teams in next year's Super League, which gives Bradford more of a challenge and extra matches to play.
Forsell said: "I didn't really enjoy the games we went out and won 60 something nil because as players, that's not what you play for.
"You play for the tough games and now there will be more teams and more challenges. I know the girls at Bradford will enjoy that and so will the girls at Leeds and, if anything, it'll be great for the fans.
"Bradford have a great set of followers and fans and they did really well by us. Everyone loves a Bradford and Leeds derby and since the men aren't going to give it to them, the women can.
"We weren't expecting the support we got. When we walked out of the tunnel at York in the Challenge Cup final, we were all looking around like 'eh, what's going on here?'.
"It's something Bradford has and will always have and hopefully other teams will see it and want to get behind their women's section because that's been a really memorable part of the year, having all the support from the fans."
Forsell and players from the Bulls will hopefully be reuniting in England's future games and the next Rugby League World Cup.
"Coming back from Australia, you kind of feel a bit lost when you've been in that environment and I want to have that to aim for," she said.
"I certainly want to be involved in the set-up and I've been lucky to be at the World Cup for a couple of years – so I'm going to work as hard as I can and if I'm still selected, I'll be over the moon.
"I'll work as hard as always to do the best for my country and the best for my club."
