WITH Premier Division leaders Salts without a game this weekend and with only two points separating the teams from second to fifth, there could be some interesting games on Saturday in the West Riding County Amateur League.
Second-placed Route One Rovers will be seeking to narrow the gap between themselves and Salts to three points and complete the double over opponents Lepton Highlanders at Esholt, who they beat 5-2 at the end of August.
Third-placed Golcar United, who remain the only team yet to taste defeat this season, travel to fifth-placed Campion, while fourth-placed Steeton will be also looking for the points when they visit Thornton United, who they beat 3-2 with a Ben Clarkson hat-trick last month.
Wibsey will be hoping to avoid a banana skin when they host DRAM Community as the Huddersfield side have only picked a one point from their eight games on the road.
In Division One, third-placed Salts Reserves, should they win, will go level on points with unbeaten pacesetters Ovenden West Riding, who are their visitors to the Playing Fields at Saltaire.
