CITY will be without Adam Chicksen and Romain Vincelot as last night's 1-1 draw with Oldham came at a cost.
Chicksen injured his thigh towards the end of the game and is expected to miss the next couple of weeks.
And Vincelot will be banned for Saturday's home clash with Charlton after the skipper received a fifth yellow card.
Their absence comes as a blow for Stuart McCall, who was pleased with City's general performance against an Oldham side that had won their previous four games.
McCall said: "I really enjoyed it. Oldham are a good team – their away performance at Portsmouth was probably the best I'd seen since I came back here as a manager.
"Then they fully deserved to beat Blackburn on Saturday, so we didn't fear them but they have got momentum and they're playing well.
"But I thought first half we were very good as well and got in some great positions.
"I know it's a point at home but it was two good teams playing an entertaining game. There were a lot of good things to come out of it."
City had taken an early lead with a stunning blast from Paul Taylor, his second goal in three outings.
McCall said: "It doesn't surprise me. But then again, it wouldn't have surprised me if it had gone over the Kop – because that's Tayls.
"I just watched him in training and I thought he was looking sharp. We knew he'd probably only last an hour.
"But it was a fantastic start to the game for us. To be fair, their's was a good goal as well.
"Last year we drew against Oldham after absolutely battering them and felt very frustrated. This time we've got to accept we were up against a good side and we both played well."
