WYKE Wanderers remain top of West Yorkshire League Division One after their 2-0 success against Rothwell.
Wanderers tore into their visitors from the off, and Matt Conway should have put them ahead when he ran clear after only five minutes but shot over.
Rothwell's goalkeeper was keeping his side in the match but he was beaten after good work by Joe Entwhistle enabled Conway to score.
Wyke continued to dominate, although Rothwell had a goal disallowed with 15 minutes left, and five minutes later Wyke sealed victory with Conway's second goal.
Dave Ryan, Wyke's secretary, said: “There were good performances from everyone in the team, but especially Joe Hebblewhite, Cameron Day and Entwhistle, but the man of the match award went to Conway for his hard work as a forward, plus his goals."
Wanderers beat Brighouse Old Boys 8-2 in midweek with goals from man of the match Karl Fawcett (4), Ryan Clay (2), Joseph Walshe and Andy Benjamin.
Field moved up to fifth in the Premier Division following their 3-0 win against Robin Hood Athletic, goals coming from John Penn, Jamie Douglas and Danny Farrar.
Sylbert Stewart grabbed a hat-trick for Field in their 6-1 thrashing of Huddersfield Amateur in midweek, the other scorers being Jamie Douglas (2) and Curtis McMahon.
In Division Two, Baildon Trinity Athletic drew 2-2 with Hampsthwaite United.
The first chance fell to Baildon's Louis Francis, when he broke through one on one with the goalkeeper but put his shot wide.
Steve Sample also had the chance to put Trinity ahead but shot straight into the keeper's hands, and Baildon finally took the lead through Darren Rands' deflected shot.
Elliott Moody's header hit the bar, only for Hampsthwaite to equalise against the run of play just before the break.
Danny Milner's powerful header hit the bar before United took the lead with a good solo goal from their right winger.
With the clock ticking away, a fine pass from Francis found Lee Mathers at the far post, and he equalised with the last kick of the match.
Baildon Trinity Athletic were humbled 6-2 at home by leaders Newsome in midweek.
Newsome went 4-0 up after only 25 minutes but Baildon hit back through Graham Carney and Francis.
Field Reserves kept up their 100 per cent record in Alliance Division One with an 8-2 thrashing of East End Park Reserves to go two points clear of Beeston St Anthony’s Reserves.
Jack Webster (2) and Liam Charles (2) led the way with goals for Field, the others coming from Lewis Forsythe, Liam Lambert, Christian Robinson and substitute Nick Doherty.
Field's manager Matt Vickers said: “It was a strong performance but we conceded two goals after a defensive error and a soft penalty but these can be excused."
However, Wyke Wanderers Reserves took a battering in Alliance Division Two when they lost 14-1 to Whitkirk Wanderers Reserves.
Wyke found themselves 3-0 behind before Joe Sagar scored a consolation goal.
Whitkirk scored four more before half-time and added seven after the break.
It didn’t help that Alex Hornby was sent off for Wyke for receiving two yellow cards.
Wyke are still rooted at the bottom of the table and are still looking for their first point of the season.
