FIELD have made an indifferent start to their West Yorkshire League Premier Division season under the guidance of new manager Marlon Adam.
They were beaten 2-1 at Sherburn White Rose, with Aidan Schofield scoring their goal, then beat Hartshead 1-0 but lost 3-0 at Shelley.
In Field's next match, Lincoln Adams and Aidan Schofield scored the goals to put them 2-0 ahead in the first half but they eventually succumbed 3-2 against Leeds City.
However, Field recorded their second win of the season when they defeated Headingley 2-0. Steve Bargh and John Penn dominated the central midfield for Field and they deservedly won with goals from Glyn Hirst and Penn.
Wyke Wanderers find themselves proudly sitting in second in Division One as a result of three matches in a week.
After a 3-0 loss at Rawdon Old Boys, they recovered to beat Oxenhope Recreation 2-0, with goals from Joe Entwhistle and Karl Fawcett.
Wyke then had a 3-2 victory against Featherstone Colliery, storming into a 3-0 lead through Matt Conway (2) and Joe Entwhistle.
Featherstone pulled a goal back and, although Conway had a great chance to restore Wyke's two-goal advantage, Colliery reduced the arrears in the final minute - but it was too late.
Wyke secretary Dave Ryan said: “It was a good all-round team performance, with four 16-year- olds in the squad.
"We host Brighouse Old Boys tonorrow night at Whitechapel Road (6.30)."
