CITY could be without Adam Chicksen until the end of next month as they prepare to bring in a temporary replacement.
Brentford's Tom Field is set to join on a half-season loan to fill the gap following the left back's injury.
Chicksen suffered a fractured cheekbone in an aerial collision during the Blackpool game on Saturday.
Stuart McCall said this afternoon: “It’s good to see that his head, his brain and his neck have all been clear. But then we got the news that he’s fractured his cheekbone.
“That could be looking at six weeks out then. We’ll have to see what pain level he’s at but hopefully he’ll be able to do a lot of physical work.
“It’s a facial thing so can go on the tread mill, the bike and the rower – he’ll be able to keep up a good level of fitness.”
