IT’S not only City with an eye on revenge for last year at Wembley on Saturday.
Millwall defender Byron Webster was forced to pull out of their play-off final loss to Barnsley at the last minute after getting injured against the Bantams.
Webster was due to play but was in pain during the pre-match warm-up, forcing boss Neil Harris to make a late reshuffle.
The North Yorkshire-born centre half said: “I felt my hamstring in the second leg against Bradford but the physios worked their magic and thought it was okay.
“I did two days of training before the (Wembley) game and then it went in the warm-up when we were doing a few sprints.
“There was no way of playing. I had a scan a few days later and there was a grade two tear.
“It was a stinker. But we are there again this year and hoping to go one better.”
Webster has played in a League One final before – he was in the Yeovil side that surprised Brentford in 2013.
Mahlon Romeo, who was suspended for the game 12 months ago, and Jed Wallace are the only expected starters to have not appeared in a major final.
Centre half Shaun Hutchinson played for Stuart McCall’s Motherwell against Celtic in the Scottish Cup final six years ago.
Webster, who began his career at York, nearly walked away from the game until a spell playing in the Czech Republic with FK Banik Most.
He added: “I fell out with a manager in England and was not interested in football. Then I got an opportunity to go out there and fell back in love with the game.
“It kick-started my career again. I was only young and you learn a lot about yourself.
“There was no pressure if someone was hammering me because I did not know what they were saying! The rest is history.”
Right back Shaun Cummings is Millwall’s only doubt and has not trained fully.
