FIELD, who went behind after only seven minutes in midweek, ended up defeating Beeston St Anthony's 7-3 in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division.
Danny Summers twice equalised in the first half and, after St Anthony's had Ryan Bailey sent off, completed his hat-trick to put Field 3-2 ahead before half-time.
In the second half, Field's Andy Gallagher, Tom Ponter (2) and a fourth from Summers completed a relatively easy victory in an entertaining clash.
At the weekend, Field won 4-2 at Headingley, but again went behind, this time after ten minutes.
Kieran Suddards equalised before John Penn put them ahead with a penalty, and the latter turned provider in the second half when he crossed for Ben Baker to score with a tremendous header.
Joe Worksop completed the scoring for Field, who moved up to third, and could pip Leeds City for the runners-up berth.
Wyke Wanderers cemented their mid-table position in Division One by winning 2-1 at Featherstone Colliery.
Wanderers' secretary Dave Ryan said: "We were on top throughout, with Sibu Moyo and Karl Fawcett scoring our goals.
Featherstone scored their consolation in the last minute."
Baildon Trinity Athletic were due to play their last match of the season in Division Two but opponents Ossett Albion couldn't raise a team.
Jack Webster scored both for Field Reserves in a 5-2 Alliance Division One defeat at Horbury Town Reserves, but they made amends by defeating Leeds City Reserves 5-1 with goals from Danny Laban, Tom Ponter, Joe Vickers, Webster and substitute Liam Lambert to climb to fourth.
Under-strength Wyke Wanderers Reserves didn't deserve to lose 2-0 at Carlton Athletic Reserves, with both goals coming late on.
