Guy Watson was the top performer for Airienteers in a district event near Wakefield organised by East Pennine Orienteering Club.
Watson (M40) had a storming run to finish runner-up of 60 entrants on the 6.33km blue course, the longest and most technical in the colour-coded format.
Jack Wood (M18) was sixth and had the beating of his father Alistair, who finished 11th. Other top-20 places were achieved by Tim Patterson (M21), Frank Kew (M55), Tony Carlyle (M55), Martyn Gill (M55) and Chris Penny (M45).
Maurice Calvert (M45) was second on the 4.9km green course, while Joe Woodley (M12) showed a clean pair of heels to many senior runners to claim second over the 3.5km light green course.
At junior level, Holly Avis (W10) won on the shortest white course and Adam Penny (M10) was runner-up on the yellow course.
