WYKE Wanderers drew 1-1 against Old Centralians in West Yorkshire League Division One.
Tenth-placed Wanderers started well and could have scored early, while the threat was more isolated at the other end.
Just when they thought they wouldn't score, up popped Wyke's young defender Jack Ryan-Wakeling to put them in front.
Centralians equalised with ten minutes to go, but Wanderers had several chances to put the game to bed but couldn't find a second goal.
As the match was about to finish, Wyke's goalkeeper Brad Emmerson was sent off.
The Premier Division match between Field and Oxenhope Recreation was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
Field face leaders Carlton Athletic, who have won all 17 matches, tomorrow at Hollingwood Lane (7.30pm).
Wyke Wanderers Reserves moved off the foot of Alliance Division One following their thrilling 5-4 win against Hunslet Club Reserves.
An under-strength Wyke side were under pressure early in the match but went ahead via an eighth-minute breakaway goal from Hoi Pin Truong, who calmly took his chance.
Hunslet continued to threaten but Truong was rewarded for his hard work with a second goal after 15 minutes and, with the visitors still threatening, Joe Haley made it 3-0 from close range.
Hosts Hunslet pulled a goal back and made it 3-2 from a penalty after Liam Guiry handled the ball on the goal-line and was sent off.
A Wyke mistake enabled Hunslet to level at 3-3 but Wanderers responded, the excellent Truong earning a penalty which Gary Lupton put away.
With Wyke tiring, however, Hunslet again equalised but, with five minutes to go, Haley's glancing header won it from a corner.
Wyke secretary Dave Ryan said: “It has been a long time coming but the sheer guts that we put into this game was a sight to behold. Every player took the man of the match award."
Field Reserves romped to a 5-0 victory against Headingley Reserves via goals from Tom Ponter (2), Liam Lambert, Calum Robinson and substitute Glyn Hirst.
