Guiseley may not sell 10,000 season tickets as neighbours City are hoping to but the ones they do will be cheaper, according to Phil Rogerson.

The Guiseley director has clarified their ticket prices following a throw-away comparison made by Bantams joint chairman Mark Lawn.

Speaking about City's season ticket offer in the T&A, Lawn said: "People have really got to consider that if they don't pay £138 for a season-ticket are they really a Bradford City fan?"

"At £6 a game, you can't get into Guiseley for that."

Rogerson has responded by saying: "They are not comparing like for like.

"Our full-priced season tickets are available for £126 and concessions are exactly half of that."

"I think what has happened is that Bradford City are basing their quotes on the fact their season ticket works out at £6 per game and ourselves, Farsley Celtic and Bradford Park Avenue charge more than that for single match entry to our grounds. As I understand it, City are not dropping their ticket prices per game.

"If you just want to turn up on matchday, it will still cost something similar to last season. Our gate prices are less than their's on that basis as well."

Rogerson added:"I thought the whole point of good marketing was not to have a go at your competitors.

"Our sales are going well and if you come along to Nethermoor you can watch a winning team.

"In all seriousness, I wish Bradford the best for the coming season. It is a very good chance for them to reverse their recent fortunes.

"I expect a good season for Guiseley as well.

"We have a very good manager in Terry Dolan and only just missed out on the Conference North play-offs last term."

Guiseley also picked up two club of the month awards during last season.
