ALBION Sports head to a rampant Tadcaster Albion tonight in the semi-finals of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Cup.
Taddy have already won the league title but are determined to add the cup and bow out having landed the double.
Tadcaster will be playing their football in the Evo-Stik League next season after securing promotion, and will likely be rivals of Farsley Celtic and Brighouse Town in Division One North.
The Brewers players were presented with the league trophy and their medals on Saturday at their home game against Athersley Recreation. Albion will be hoping that they celebrated a little too excessively.
Kulwinder Sandhu’s Albion Lions have not played since a week last Saturday when they lost 3-2 away at promotion-chasing Worksop Town. Sandhu has had his players training since then to ensure they are as sharp as tonight’s hosts.
LIVERSEDGE’S season come comes to an end with their final Premier Division game as they head to Retford United.
The last game of this league season threatened to be Sedge’s last in the top tier for a while, but they escaped relegation thanks to their games in hand.
Sedge were still in the bottom three a week last Saturday, but they go into this evening knowing that they cannot finish lower than their current 15th place and will finish 14th if they beat a Retford side who are above them on goal difference only.
