Dougie Lampkin blazed a trail right up to the podium in the French round of the World Trials Championship in Senez.
The Silsden rider held a tight grip on third place ahead of a rampant band of Spaniards.
He was in top form through the opening sections and matched Adam Raga in 15 sections.
"Toni Bou was simply in a class of his own on the first lap but I am very pleased with my result," said Lampkin.
Cookridge rider James Dabill again split the Spanish Armada with a fine seventh place.
