STEVE Parkin was happy to see City fight back for a point against Rochdale at Valley Parade this afternoon.
The Bantams twice came from behind through Rory McArdle and substitute Steve Davies to salvage a 2-2 draw.
The home side struggled to match the performances in their back-to-back wins over Peterborough and Southend earlier in the week.
“We weren’t at our best but there was a lot of fight and spirit,” said assistant boss Parkin.
“We were a bit disappointed with the goals we conceded coming off the back of two clean sheets. But the lads kept going and that was a real positive.
“It’s one of those days when you have to look at the week’s work and be delighted we got seven points.
“Full credit to Rochdale, it was a good performance from them and it was just about honours even.”
Davies came on at half-time for James Hanson, who was subbed after a painful clash with Rochdale winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.
Parkin added: “Hans got a nasty knock on his head and has a nice swelling above his left eye.
“He’s all right now but just felt a little bit queasy so we decided to bring him off.”
