Gareth Evans finished 25th in the Brabazon Trophy at the Forest of Arden.
The Northcliffe member carded consistent rounds of 74, 73, 72 and 74 to finish five over par in some tough conditions.
He was the third highest Yorkshire finisher behind John Parry (17th) and Steve Uzzell (21st).
The trophy was shared by France's Romain Bechu and England international Jamie Moule, who both ended on seven under par.
Evans' club-mate Rob Hillas carded 77, 79 and Keighley's Adam Sagar 80, 78 after both came through the first qualifying stages. Sagar qualified in fourth spot after a 71 on the opening day.
The Shay Grange golf centre and driving range, based near Heaton, re-opens on Saturday after a £150,000 investment programme under new owner Jordan Gibson.
He has had 15 years' experience in golf retailing and is the son of Yorkshire golf professional and club maker Paul Gibson.
Teaching professionals Mark Wood and Neil Reeves will also be based at the centre.
