The future at Leeds United may be uncertain but the fans who remain loyal will soon be able to assess the squad they will be watching in League One next season.

The first team, which returns for pre-season training on July 2, have their first run-out at York 12 days later.

That will be followed by an overseas tour, still to be finalised, and a return to matches at Burnley (July 28) and Darlington (July 31).

The first pre-season friendly at Elland Road for three years will see Premiership survivors Wigan visit on August 4, a week before the league campaign gets under way.

The latest name to enter the frame as a possible investor in Leeds is Dubai sheikh Samir Mirdad, although it is not clear if he is part of the Dubai consortium that is headed by Duncan Revie, son of former Leeds manager Don Revie.

Mirdad's interview with his local Khaleej Times suggests he is planning to work with current chairman Ken Bates rather than take over the club.

Meanwhile, the club have announced the majority of their players have agreed to defer their wages while the club is in administration.

Thirty-two of the 36-strong playing squad have agreed to enter into a "deed of deferral"

following a meeting last week between the players' union, the Professional Players' Association and Leeds' administrators KPMG.
