The closing date for applications for the post of first-team manager passed last Friday and Eccleshill United have granted interviews to nine candidates.
"When Paul Jewell quit as Wigan Athletic boss I thought we might have a late CV dropping through our letter box, after all he lives at Menston," said Eagles secretary Paul Jarvis.
"I also noticed that Neil Warnock walked away from Sheffield United on Wednesday saying he wanted a new challenge. If he came here it would be a challenge for him, most definitely.
"To be honest we can't complain with the quality of the people that have expressed an interest in taking our job. We called a committee meeting last Monday evening to decide the way forward.
"I have written to all of the nine genuine contenders and we will be holding interviews on Monday and Tuesday.
"It is a really good list of people but it will be our finances that will ultimately decide who is in charge next year."
