A bold start saw Keighley's Paul Davies win the Bradford Union Clubman's Championship at Northcliffe on Sunday.
The 48-year-old carded a gross 74, opening with a birdie at the par-four first after he drove over the trees and onto the green.
Another birdie followed at the 14th as Davies pipped host member Karl Burn by one shot.
Playing off five having been pulled just days earlier following a round of 70 at his home club, Davies said: "To start with a three and finish with a three is always a bonus at Northcliffe.
"I was lucky in that I played during the best part of the day before it started raining."
Davies has just moved to Keighley after 20 years as a member at Silsden.
Other top finishers: 3 D Tordoff (Northcliffe) 78, 4 M Townsley (Woodhall Hills) 78, 5 S Busfield (Branshaw) 79, 6 C Watts (Northcliffe) 79, 7 A Smith (Hollins Hall) 80, 8 N Armstrong (Calverley) 80, 9 P Adams (Headley) 80.
