Jamie Langley column: What went on in Cardiff was a shock to everyone involved.

Everyone was surprised and dis-spirited but that lasted momentarily and now we're getting back on the horse against Wakefield.

That's the great thing about rugby league - there's a quick chance to put things right and we can't wait to get out there on Sunday.

After Leeds, we got in early in the week and went through the video footage, concentrating on what we did and didn't do as a team and as individuals.

We can only put things right that are in our control and maybe prevent that situation from happening again.

If we'd have set out and done what we should have in the first place, maybe the result wouldn't have come down to being so close.

We'll try and put that behind us now. Things like that happen in rugby league and people are only human.

We're not beating ourselves up over things that aren't in our control.

Wakefield are a dangerous team. Their current form isn't great but anything can happen in the Challenge Cup.

They've a lot of great players and obviously the John Kear factor too.

He's achieved such a big success in this competition before and knows what it's all about, while there's the Wembley factor too with everyone desperate to get there this year.

The Wildcats will raise their performance no doubt and we have to do the same.

We've prepared well to face Trinity because we want to use the tie as a springboard for the rest of the season.

It's coming to the halfway point in the campaign and we know that we have to perform better as the year goes on if we want to achieve anything.

That means we're going to Belle Vue expecting a hard game and I think we'll get it.
